What WISP Manager is

  • Online software, run by iTech Plus, for keeping your firm's written information security plan (WISP) and the records behind it: responsible people, risk assessment, safeguards and evidence files, training, service providers, incidents and reviews.
  • Each firm starts with a draft plan based on IRS Publication 5708 and a checklist drawn from the FTC Safeguards Rule and IRS Publication 4557. You decide what your plan says and what you record.
  • One firm (one office) per subscription. All of your staff may have their own logins.

What it is not

  • It is not legal, tax or compliance advice, and using it does not by itself make your firm compliant with any law or rule. You are responsible for your plan, your safeguards and anything you attest to, including on your PTIN renewal.
  • iTech does not write, review or approve your plan as part of this subscription. That is a separate service, by agreement.

Your records

  • Your records are yours. We keep them on servers iTech Plus manages.
  • iTech staff access your records only to give you support you ask for, keep the service running, or where the law requires.
  • If a payment fails and isn't recovered, your account becomes read-only: you can still view and print everything, but not add to it, until the balance is paid.
  • If you cancel, the account stays read-only for 30 days so you can print or save your records, and then sign-in closes. Ask us any time for a copy of your records or for them to be deleted.
  • You're responsible for who you give logins to and for removing people who leave. Every login uses two-step sign-in.

Billing

  • You pay $59 per firm per month, billed by card through Stripe at signup and every month after.
  • Month to month. Cancel any time from Billing. Service runs to the end of the paid period.
  • 30-day money-back guarantee. If WISP Manager doesn't work for you, contact support within 30 days of your first payment and we'll refund that first payment in full and close the account. One refund per company.
  • No uptime guarantee.

General

  • iTech WISP Manager is sold to businesses for business use. The person signing up confirms they're authorised to buy for their company.
  • It is a tool and a service, not legal advice. You remain responsible for your own legal and regulatory obligations.
  • We keep what we need to run and bill the service, and we don't sell your data.
  • If law enforcement sends us valid legal process, we'll respond as the law requires.
